Marketing Settings

The Marketing Settings page controls how your marketing and lead management tools function across your Gymdesk account. From here, you can enable automations, set up referral rewards, manage text messaging, and customize how leads are captured, tracked, and organized through your acquisition sources, forms, and statuses.

Automations

Toggle this option to enable or disable automations throughout your Gymdesk account. To design and personalize automated workflows—like sending follow-up emails, applying tags, or adjusting lead statuses when certain actions happen—select Manage Automations to open the automation builder.

Referral Rewards

Enable your member referral program and choose how rewards are applied. You can automatically reward members or approve referrals manually, and select whether the reward is applied as a discount on the next payment, a membership discount, or a credit to the member’s profile balance.

Text Messaging

Manage your gym’s text messaging preferences, including email notifications for incoming texts, quiet hours, and permissions for unknown senders. You can also view your current texting number, monthly cost, and message rates.

Acquisition Sources

Acquisition sources are the channels or methods through which new leads discover your gym. Use this section to create and manage the source options shown on your lead and member forms—such as website, social media, walk-ins, or referrals—so you can track which marketing efforts generate the most sign-ups.

Lead Capture Forms

Lead capture forms are online forms that collect contact information from potential members. From this page, you can create, edit, and manage your forms to gather new leads directly through your website or landing pages. Tracking submissions through these forms helps you measure marketing performance and follow up with prospects more efficiently.

Lead Statuses

Lead statuses represent the stage a lead is in during your follow-up process. Use this page to create and organize statuses—such as New, Contacted, or Trial Booked—to match your sales workflow. Updating a lead’s status helps you track progress, trigger automations, and identify where each lead is in the conversion pipeline.

Custom Lead Fields

Custom lead fields let you collect additional information about your leads beyond the default fields provided by Gymdesk. Use this section to create custom inputs—such as dropdowns, text boxes, or date fields—to capture details that are specific to your marketing or sales process.

Privacy Settings

Manage your gym’s SMS privacy options for text messaging. From this page, you can review the opt-in message shown on sign-up forms and edit the default privacy notice that appears when collecting a member’s phone number.

Note: If your Gymdesk account has been assigned a dedicated texting number, the SMS (Text Messaging) Opt-in field will be enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
