Digital Gift Cards
Gift cards are more than just a payment option — they’re a powerful way to boost revenue and encourage referrals. In Gymdesk, Members and Non-Members can purchase digital gift cards through your online store or point of sale. Gift cards act like discount codes and can be applied to memberships, point-of-sale purchases, or even when starting a new membership.
How to Create a Gift Card
Go to Sales in your Main Menu
Select Products → Gift Cards → Add Gift Card 
- Enter the Gift Card Name. This is how it appears to members. 
- Set the Price.  
Note: Depending on your tax settings, the “Charge Tax” box may be checked by default. Gift cards aren’t usually taxed when sold — tax applies later to the items or services purchased with the card. Uncheck this box unless your local rules require otherwise.

Choose the Quantity. Unlimited keeps the card always available, or set a number to limit sales. Optionally, you can add a SKU for inventory tracking.  
- Upload a Gift Card Image (optional).

Choose if the gift card appears in your Online Store or is for internal use, and add an optional description. Note: If your Online Store is disabled in Settings, this option will not appear. 
- Save Your Gift Card.
How Gift Cards Are Delivered
Gift cards are emailed directly to the purchaser (Member or Non-Member). If they’d like to give it to someone else, they can simply share the gift card code.

The gift card recipient uses the digital code just like a discount code.
