ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation and email platform. Connecting it with GymDesk allows you to automatically sync new leads and members, apply tags, and build targeted campaigns and automations with ease. To set up the integration, you’ll need your API URL and API Key from ActiveCampaign.
Finding your API details in ActiveCampaign
- Go to activecampaign.com and log in to your account, or create a new account if you don’t already have one.
- In the sidebar menu, click Settings, then select Developer.
- In the API Access section, copy your API URL and API Key.
Connecting ActiveCampaign to GymDesk
Go to Settings in the Main Menu
Select → Integrations → Active Campaign
- Paste your API URL and API Key into the fields provided.
- (Optional) Change the tags for Leads and Members, or keep the default names.
- Click Save Changes to complete the integration setup.
⚠️ Important: The ActiveCampaign integration ONLY SYNCS NEW CONTACTS created after setup. Existing leads and members must be exported from Gymdesk and imported into ActiveCampaign manually.
Importing Contacts into ActiveCampaign
To export your existing contacts from Gymdesk, go to Members in the Main Menu. Use the filters to narrow down your selection of contacts, then click Export in the top right corner to download the file in CSV format.

In ActiveCampaign, go to the Contacts section.

Click Import and select the exported CSV file from Gymdesk .

Map the fields from Gymdesk (e.g., name, email, phone) to the matching fields in ActiveCampaign.

Add tags if needed and click Finish Import.
Your existing contacts will now appear in ActiveCampaign alongside the new ones synced through the integration.
