Member Portal and Member App Access
Members can access their online accounts through your website or a mobile app. This guide explains how members log in, where to find your portal login link, and how access works depending on your website setup. Use this as a quick reference whenever you’re setting up or sharing login instructions.
How Members Access Their Online Accounts
The table below explains the different access points to the member portal and how members are able to log in:

Where to Locate Your Unique Member Portal Link
From the main menu, navigate to the Website tab.
Select Settings, then scroll down to Members Log-in Link.
Here, you will find your gym’s unique member portal URL. This link directs members to the login page for their accounts.

If you use an external website, add this URL to a custom button or navigation link so members can easily access the portal from your site.
Gymdesk Member App vs. Branded Member App
Gymdesk offers two options for providing a mobile app experience to your members: the Gymdesk Member App and the Branded Member App. The Gymdesk Member App is included with every subscription at no additional cost. The Branded Member App is a premium option that appears in the App Store and Google Play under your gym’s own name and branding instead of Gymdesk.

Both versions of the Member App allow members to access their account, view class schedules, book sessions, manage payments, track attendance, and receive announcements from your gym.
Where Do Members Download the Member App?
Members can download the Gymdesk Member App directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Search for “Gymdesk Members App” and confirm the app name and logo match the details you share with members before directing them to install it.
If you use the Branded Member App, members will instead search for your gym’s name (or chosen app name) in the App Store or Google Play. The app will appear under your own branding, but it connects to the same member accounts and data as the standard Gymdesk Member App.
💡 Use the SHARE BUTTON on your Branded Member App store listing to share the direct link for your members to download.
Member App Access and Login
After downloading the app, members sign in with the same email and password they created at signup—the login process is identical on both the app and the website. If they forget their login, they can use Forgot Password on the login page. Staff can also reset a password by clicking Send Access from the Member Profile.
REMINDER: The member app is for MEMBERS ONLY. Gym staff must log-in through a web browser to access the staff dashboard and management tools.

Enable Visitor Access to the Member Portal
Gymdesk lets you choose whether visitors can log into the member portal. When enabled, “trial members” (called Visitors in Gymdesk) can sign in and use the member app features.
To enable visitor access:

Navigate to Settings → Members.

Scroll to the Member Portal section.

Toggle "Visitors can access the member portal" to YES.
