How to Automate Gym Management Tasks
You can automate many of your gym management tasks through Gymdesk.
Automatable gym tasks include both administrative and business tasks, such as financial reporting and marketing messages, respectively.
Below are several common automation use cases. The process for each is briefly outlined, and then a more in-depth support article is linked.
Automate Gym Billing
Automate gym payments through Gymdesk’s payments feature. Broadly, follow these three steps:

Create memberships with recurring payments

Attach memberships to Gymdesk portals
Even if you don’t use recurring billing, members get access to an online account where they manage all of their billing and membership information. Automatic notifications about upcoming and overdue payments allow members to resolve billing issues without your involvement.

Automate Attendance Tracking
Gym attendance can be automated through Gymdesk’s font desk mode and self check-in features.
If for any reason self check-in doesn’t work for you, or an error occurs, you can manually check in members yourself. You can also do mass check-in, a little known power feature.

Automate Staff Reminders and Task Assignment
In Gymdesk, you can automate task assignments to staff members by attaching automation triggers inside the marketing automation feature, so you can keep your team razor-focused on growth-generating activities.
Simply drag and drop the “create task” element inside any automation flow, and then assign that task to the appropriate staff member.

Automate Email (and SMS) Sending
Gymdesk has best-in-class email and SMS messaging automation capabilities, on par with some of the biggest standalone email service providers available.

Navigate to the marketing tab inside your Gymdesk account.

Click the “automations” tab.

Click “create automation.”
We also have several automations built-in to Gymdesk and ready for you to use. You can edit any of those from within marketing settings or modify templates into new automations by clicking “use template” in the marketing automation screen.
